The price of a regency-style stucco residence in Washington, D.C., has just increased by $2 million, to $22 million, according to listing records for the property.
It is a rare case in a softening high-end market.

The eight-room, 11-and-a-half-bathroom mansion, located in the exclusive neighborhood of Kent in the northwest of Washington D.C., first came on the market last October for $20 million, the listing records show. It is the most expensive property currently listed in D.C., according to realtor.com.
It was relisted for $22 million right after the New Year, a 10% price increase, according to Zillow.
Listing agent Marc Fleisher of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing, and was not immediately available to comment on the price rise.
Property records are not clear about who the current owner is.

The listing describes the home as having been inspired by early 18th century English architects, such as Sir John Nash. Its exterior features Indiana limestone porches and accent details.
Meanwhile, the nearly 14,000-square-foot indoor living space features hand-carved stone mantels, custom millwork trim and cabinetry.
