A full-floor apartment in a pre-war co-op building on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue has just hit the market for $19 million.
Designed by Victoria Hagan, who was inducted to the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2004 for her New American classic-design style, the seventh-floor apartment features thoughtful layout and elegant finishes.
The private elevator opens to a gallery. To the left are the west-facing dining and living rooms, which boast direct Central Park views and a wood-burning fireplace, according to the listing and the floorplan posted by Stribling Private BrokerageWednesday.
The master suite comes with a gym or sitting area, two bathrooms and large walk-in closets. There are three additional bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The home also includes a wood-paneled library and a kitchen equipped with top appliances, a serving pantry and lots of storage, according to the listing.
Listing agents Alexa Lambert, Marc Achilles and Julie Soffen didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. The current owner and transaction history of this residence couldn’t be traced in public records.
Coincidentally, another full-floor apartment in the 14-story co-op building, was also listed for $19 million last September. This unit, owned by Phyllis B. Louis-Dreyfus, wife of French businessman William Louis Dreyfus and stepmother of actress Julia Louis Dreyfus, was sold for $16 million in March, according to public documents.
Built in 1925, the full-service co-op building offers 19 units.
