A 16,000-square-foot Spanish-style estate in Southern California with full equestrian facilities, known as "Hacienda de las Palmas," is coming to the auction block Sept. 29.

Sitting on nearly six acres within the Covenant of Rancho Santa Fe, one of America’s most desirable communities, and just five miles from the beaches of Del Mar, the estate is being auctioned without reserve, meaning there is no minimum starting price and the highest bidder will be the new owner.

It was offered for $19.995 million earlier this month, according to public records.

The 16,000-square-foot main residence has eight bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and four half- bathrooms, and multiple living and dining areas.

It also has a billiard room, a gentleman’s card room, a cowboy bar, a gym and a media room with wood-burning fireplace.

"It is an ideal property for a family who will enjoy its resort quality amenities and picturesque settings for entertaining," said Nick Leonard, Regional Vice President of Concierge Auctions, which handles the sale.

The home’s horseshoe-shaped footprint brings the outdoors in with extended wrap-around verandas, a central courtyard, a mosaic glass-tiled pool, and a waterfall with Koi pond and lily pads.

In addition to the main residence, there are two one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest homes on the property, one of which is a hidden "tree house."

Botanical gardens can be found throughout the property. "The lush green setting creates the feel of a private resort," said Jack Hoyt, project sales manager at Concierge Auctions.

The ranch’s equestrian facilities include a training arena, seven-horse barn, feed room with hay storage, and a tack room with double-wash stall. It also has a full-sized tennis court and a nine-car, one-golf cart garage.
