A three-story penthouse in Brooklyn’s iconic Clock Tower building has finally found a buyer after close to seven years on and off the market.

The 6,813-square-foot, three-bedroom Clock Tower penthouse at 1 Main Street in Brooklyn’s trendy Dumbo neighborhood has just closed today for $15 million and it has set a record for the New York City borough’s condo market, according to listing agent Corcoran.

The apartment is a triplex with a custom glass elevator in the center of the apartment, leading up to the crow’s nest on top of the clock. The pièces de résistance are the four 14-foot windowed working clocks that surround the living area.

The penthouse has been on and off the market since 2010. It was first listed by Douglas Elliman Real Estate on behalf of the developer in 2010 for $25 million, and later by Corcoran in 2013 for $18 million.
