A residential compound in Los Cabos, Mexico, with resort-style amenities, more than 28,800 square feet of air-conditioned living space and an old house where a German prince once lived, has come onto the market for $50 million.

Dubbed Casa Noble (Noble House), the 2.56-acre gated estate at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula has 23 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms spread across four houses and 240 feet of beach frontage, according to the listing with The Agency posted over the weekend.

The property "is not only fit for a king, but will comfortably accommodate an entire court," said listing agent Bernardo Mucino Koenig of The Agency, who’s handling the sale with the brokerage’s CEO, Mauricio Umansky.

In fact, according to Mr. Koenig, the estate was once home to Prince Alfonso of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, a municipality in central Germany. A prominent, Madrid-born businessman who died in 2003 at 79, the prince was known for developing Marbella Club Hotel in Marbella, Spain.

The current owner, whose identity wasn’t disclosed, kept the prince’s old house intact and turned it into a guest house/museum. It has many historical items, including the prince's emblem that is engraved in stone in the center of the house, according to the listing agents.

In 2013, the owner had a five-story, contemporary Spanish hacienda built. "The home itself boasts meticulous attention to detail and breathtaking views of the ocean," Mr. Umansky said.

Design details include intricate woodwork, walls of glass, 50 different colored tiles directly sourced from mainland Mexico, doors carved by artisans in different styles, as well as bathtubs carved out of a single piece of stone that had to be put in place with a crane, according to the listing agents.

The property’s amenities include vast lawns, quaint courtyards, landscaped gardens, four infinity pools, a fitness studio, sauna, steam room, hot tubs, a tennis court, paddle boards and 10-car parking space.

With a $50-million price tag, per the listing agents, the property is the most expensive listing currently on the market in Los Cabos, which Mansion Global couldn’t independently verify.

Located about a two-and-a-half-hour flight from Los Angeles, Los Cabos in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, encompasses the two towns of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, famous for beaches, outdoor sports, shopping and dining.
