A residential compound in Woodbury, New York, owned by Canadian-born actor and singer Victor Garber, is on the market for $1.649 million.

Mr. Garber, 69, who has won six Emmy awards—mostly for his supporting role in TV series "Alias"— and is also known for playing Jesus in 1973 movie "Godspell," bought the parcels for $1.3 million in 2009, property records accessed through PropertyShark show.

The main residence, a circa-1901 Colonial Revival-style house that was once home to burlesque entertainer Gypsy Rose Lee, was completely rebuilt in 2011 by Mr. Garber, according to listing agent Hamid Moghadam of Ellis Sotheby's International Realty, who posted the listing earlier this month.

"The home has kept its old charm and character, with restored period moldings and paneling, hardwood floors, and fireplaces with decorative mantels," Mr. Moghadam said.

The property has a stand-alone barn that can be used as a guest cottage or an art studio.

The home is decorated with many paintings done by Mr. Garber’s husband, fellow Canadian artist and model Rainer Andreesen, the listing photos show.

An adjacent one-acre property has a Ranch-style house with three bedrooms and one bathroom. The third parcel, sitting on three acres, has a Colonial house with five bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, as well as a separate studio/cottage, according to the listing.

The compound has a pool, decks, private backyards and parking spaces.

Mr. Garber’s rep confirmed he is selling the property, but declined to further comment. According to Mr. Moghadam, Mr. Garber is selling it because he spends his time in Manhattan and California and doesn’t use the property any longer.

Woodbury is a town in upstate New York that’s about a one-hour drive from Manhattan.
