Looks like Aussie entrepreneur Andrew Banks, a "shark" on the business reality-TV series "Shark Tank Australia," knows a good Los Angeles real estate investment when he sees it.

The Australian film producer and businessman has sold his 10,500-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills for $15.955 million, according to the listing agents—74% more than what the reality-TV personality paid four years ago.

Mr. Banks, whose laundry list of business endeavors includes recruitment company Morgan and Banks, bought the seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home  on North Alpine Drive for $9.2 million in 2012, according to property records.

The price increase is not without reason. Mr. Banks’ wife, Andrea, an interior designer, supervised an extensive "spare no expense" $2 million renovation and remodeling, giving the home more sophisticated design and décor, Mansion Global previously reported.

The couple threw regular parties in a dark-paneled, wet-bar-equipped entertainment space, dubbed the "music room." The lounge-like space can fit 100 guests and leads out to the backyard and pool through a set of French doors.

The two-story home, built in 1997, also has an eight-seat home theater, a gym and yoga studio, an elevator and a temperature-controlled wine cellar with room for 1,000 bottles.

"I’d describe it as a European villa with luxury finishes. Its distinctive detail, the architecture, the bright clean lines. It’s so inviting and perfect for entertaining," said listing agent Marisa San Antonio in a previous interview.

Ms. San Antonio co-listed the home for The Agency with James Harris and David Parnes.

The Bankses first put the Beverly Hills home on the market in August for $17.495 million and dropped the price down to $16.75 million a month later. It sold for a 5% discount off the listing price.

Mr. Banks’ could not immediately be reached for comment.
