Attention all puzzle fans! A home with an eight-foot maze in the English countryside has just been put on the market for £2.6 million (US$3.2 million).

Badsell Park Farm in the picturesque village of Matfield near Tunbridge Wells (40 miles southwest of London) is a 96-acre estate surrounded by woodland and pastures, which started life as a fruit and arable farm, according to the listing agent Knight Frank.

It includes an old country house believed to have been built around the time of the reign of King Edward VII (1901 until 1910), with two large later additions.

The house has six bedrooms, a 30-foot drawing room, a sitting room and an open plan kitchen/breakfast room at the rear with a large open fireplace.  Outside, there is a large, open garage allowing for access to the neighboring fields, with a 25-foot studio above with a work area.

However, perhaps the most interesting feature of the estate is an eight-foot hedged maze, which was built by former owners of the property about a quarter of a century ago. It’s made out of leylandii trees, and it takes an average of 30 minutes to get out, according to the Daily Mail.

"We raised our two children at the house and they spent many happy hours in the maze, it was a fantastic place for them to play," John Schofield, the current owner, told the newspaper.

"My wife, Sandy, has put in an awful lot of work over the years to ensure it’s kept maintained, it’s a labor of love. She spends four days every year or two trimming the hedges."
