In what appears to be an off-market transaction, actor Alec Baldwin, has just bought another apartment in his Greenwich Village, Manhattan, building for $1.3 million, according to city records filed Monday and a source with knowledge of the deal.

Because the sale was off market, no further details on the unit are available.

The apartment is on the same floor as two other units Mr. Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria, own in an Emery Roth-designed building on East 10th Street. Potentially the three apartments could be combined into one.

It is unclear who represented either parties in the transaction.

Mr. Baldwin, 59, whose publicist did not immediately return a request for comment, is the current owner of one of the building’s penthouses. He bought the 4,137-square-foot apartment in 2011 for $11.709 million, city records show. It has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms and two terraces, according to a previous listing.

Then, in 2012, Mrs. Baldwin purchased an adjacent 840-square-foot unit in her name, and paid $1.210 million, city records show. Lastly, in 2013, Mr. Baldwin bought a one-bedroom apartment on a separate floor for $2.25 million, which he went on to sell for a $150,000 loss in 2015, city records show.
