Actor Casey Affleck won’t be showing off the shiny new Oscar he won last month for "Manchester by the Sea" at his SoHo loft.

He and buddy Joaquin Phoenix, also his brother-in-law, are unloading the funky, 2,400-square-foot loft they co-own, according to property records. The two-bedroom, three-bathroom co-op at 477 Washington Street hit the market in late February for $3.895 million, according to the listing with Douglas Elliman.

It’s not clear from records how long the pair have owned the apartment or what they originally paid for it.

The eight-story co-op building, which has been carved up into a number of celebrity-owned apartments, counts among its past and present tenants director Gus Van Sant, American painter Gregory Amenoff and former R.E.M. lead singer Michael Stipe, according to property records.

Actress Kirsten Dunst is also trying to sell a unit in the building for $5 million, according to The New York Post, which first reported Mr. Affleck and Mr. Phoenix were unloading the home. Ms. Dunst bought the two-bedroom unit in 2007 for $3.09 million through the Toluca Lake Property Trust, according to property records.

It’s not just the shared pad Mr. Affleck is separating from. The actor is also in the middle of a split from his wife, Summer Phoenix, Mr. Phoenix’s sister.

The newly listed unit has views over the Hudson River and an industrial aesthetic that includes brick walls and original, raw concrete floors, according to the listing with Douglas Elliman brokers Katherine Gauthier and Wilfredo Rivera.

The living room and dining room have 11-foot ceilings; and while most of the apartment is on the seventh floor, the master suite is located on the eighth floor and includes bathroom, walk-in closet and office.

Publicists for Mr. Affleck and Mr. Phoenix did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
