Price: $9.45 million

An ocean view is paramount at any Miami abode, as is ample space to enjoy the sea breezes. The newly offered penthouse at Biscayne Beach Residenceshas both, plus a host of other amenities.

"It’s the only two-story penthouse with a private pool, roof deck and summer kitchen in all of East Edgewater," a growing Miami neighborhood, said listing agent Karen Elmir of the Elmir Group, a Miami-based sales team specializing in the luxury market under Cervera Real Estate.

The roof deck alone is more than 2,100 square feet, Ms. Elmir said.

"It’s overlooking Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, the Port of Miami and the city," she said.

And with additional terraces on the lower floor, plus floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, residents can be assured they will always be in a room with a view.

High-speed elevators go directly to the private foyer on the first floor of the penthouse, which is on the northeast corner of the building, according to the listing. The unit features 14-foot ceilings and an open layout combining the living and dining areas.

An Italian-designed kitchen also has an open layout, according to the listing, and a breakfast area. It’s outfitted with Snaidero cabinetry, Miele appliances, stone countertops and both a wine closet and a wine cooler.

Three bedrooms, including a master, are located on the main floor. On the upper floor, there’s a second master, study and an upper living room with a terrace that leads to the roof deck.

Stats

The penthouse has four bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms over two stories and 7,900 square feet of internal living space.

Amenities

The master suite has views of Biscayne Bay. The bathroom has a sauna, Duravit porcelain sinks and Cabano fixtures, plus his-and-hers closets.

Upstairs the roof deck has a private pool and an outdoor kitchen, so drinks and snacks are always close at hand. The building also has a pool for residents, Ms. Elmir said, as well as common areas, a full fitness center, a basketball court and private tennis courts.

Beach-side service is a perk for residents of the building at its private beach club, and there’s around-the-clock concierge and doorman service. A restaurant is also being planned for the building.

Design pedigree

The glass-clad Biscayne Beach Residences, with 391 residencies, was completed earlier this year. Thom Filicia, of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" fame, designed the building’s interiors and lobby, and is designing the penthouse as well. The residence is planned as a turnkey property, so the new occupants could throw a party the very evening they arrive.

Neighborhood notes

East Edgewater is "just blocks away from the Design District," Ms. Elmir said, where all the top stores and restaurants are located. "It’s also next to midtown, and just five minutes from Miami Beach."

And East Edgewater is an up-and-coming area itself, she added, noting construction like Biscayne Beach Residences is bringing more people and more business to the neighborhood.
