The house, Mr. Torrey said, "was just completed in January of 2017, and a pool, spa, and patios are underway to expand the outdoor living space." Five bedrooms and seven bathrooms—three full (sink, toilet, shower, and tub), three three-quarters (sink, toilet, and shower), and one half—make up the living quarters. There are two fireplaces, one in the family room, the other in the master bedroom, and the exterior footprint includes a three-car garage.

It is designed and owned by Mr. Torrey, the principal designer and president of Avalon Construction Corp. out of Malibu. "I have a passion for designing and building homes as if they’re my own," he said. "Every detail is custom, from the entry door to the kitchen hood. And I design to sell, so I can continue to do it all over again."
