Location: Cannes, France
Price: €29.65m (US$33.7 million)
This ultra lavish, four-level villa is in the heart of Cannes's winding historic district where elegant apartment buildings pack narrow streets.
The home’s mix of old and new is one of its biggest selling points, said agent Nathalie Farnerud of Barnes International Cannes. The property was built in the 17th century but totally reconceived and renovated in 2015.
The villa offers panoramic views of the glistening sea, but there’s also a swimming pool and spa-like amenities for those who don’t want to venture all the way to the beach.
The pool and terrace overlook the old port, the Palais des Festivals—where the famous Cannes Film Festival is held each May—and Lerins Islands, as do most of the home’s 14 rooms set over four floors.

Two large living rooms have separate open-plan kitchens, and all en-suite bedrooms are designed differently, some with white marble, some with black, others with open fireplaces.
Plus, there’s a separate one-bedroom apartment to house the guests who will inevitably come to visit to catch a glimpse of the celebrities who fill the town during the film festival.
Stats
The villa is 11,302 square feet, with seven bedrooms, and seven en-suite bathrooms. There is also the aforementioned separate one-bedroom apartment, and a 5,382 square foot leafy garden.
Design pedigree
From the outside the villa has a classical, elegant provencal look, blue-grey shuttered French windows and whitewashed walls, but inside the feeling is modern luxury with an unusually large swimming pool that runs from interior to back garden.

Amenities
The four floors are connected by an elevator which also connects to the large garage, which can store six cars, even though the house is situated in the town’s pedestrian zone.
The villa has a wine cellar and cigar cellar plus home cinema and large gym. There are quirky touches throughout—one of the living areas has a pool table and bright-red grand piano plus a bar and there are koi aquariums across several floors.
The fitness room has a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and massage room.

Neighborhood notes
All the glamourous shops near the Croisette, where celebrities attending the film festival flock during the early summer, are within walking distance, as are Cannes most famous restaurants, bars, and the casino. The picture perfect area of Le Suquet, where the villa is based, is an "iconic" location, Ms. Farnerud said and it is rare to find such a big house in the area, which was once a fishing village. The old port in Le Suquet is the oldest part of Cannes and is where the Royal Regattas leave from in September.
