Design pedigree
The house was built on a corner lot in 2004, but recently modernized. Although the lot is less than a quarter acre, the indoor and outdoor spaces are well outfitted and spacious. It has "an entertainment theme throughout," said Mr. Carroll, pointing to not only the outdoor space and pool, but also the home theater, card room and wood-paneled library.

Located at the southern border of Palm Beach County and about 43 miles north of Miami, Boca Raton is a resort town with architecture influenced by the Mediterranean revival and Spanish Colonial revival styles.
