Location: Boca Raton, Florida Price: $6.495 million

With more than 300 feet of waterfront space, this house is the perfect port for any boat owner. But it doesn’t just cater to the nautically minded; a six-car garage is sure to appeal to collectors of luxury cars as well.

"This is a home for someone who wants to be on the water," said broker Chad Carroll. But he added, "It’s for a thrill seeker who wants the opportunity to have multiple ‘toys.’"

In addition to access to Florida’s Gulf Stream waters, the house has a uniquely designed grotto swimming pool that surrounds the house. An in-water table, jacuzzi and waterfall are all part of the pool area, as are sculptures of sea creatures like an octopus and alligator. A bridge over the pool leads to the patio, where there’s an outdoor kitchen and lounge.

A tiger sculpture greets guests at the base of the spiral stairs in the Jerusalem-stone entryway. The kitchen, recently renovated with state-of-the-art appliances, opens out into a family room with views of the water. Upstairs, the bedrooms have French doors that lead out to small balconies, and the master suite has his-and-her bathrooms, with a stand-up shower and separate tub, vanity and marble surfaces.

Stats

The six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom home is more than 6,600 square feet inside.

Amenities

This house can’t be beat in terms of waterfront access, with 180 feet of space on the Intracoastal Waterway and 130 feet of private dockage. To have both public and protected access to the water is a rare combination, according to Mr. Carroll. And the garage has three lifts, which accommodates the current owner’s $2.5 million car collection.

It’s also a fully automated smart home, with an elevator, gas fireplace and marble and wood flooring throughout.

Design pedigree

The house was built on a corner lot in 2004, but recently modernized. Although the lot is less than a quarter acre, the indoor and outdoor spaces are well outfitted and spacious. It has "an entertainment theme throughout," said Mr. Carroll, pointing to not only the outdoor space and pool, but also the home theater, card room and wood-paneled library.

Neighborhood notes

Located at the southern border of Palm Beach County and about 43 miles north of Miami, Boca Raton is a resort town with architecture influenced by the Mediterranean revival and Spanish Colonial revival styles. The affluent community boasts the Evert Tennis Academy, owned by champion Chris Evert, and the art-centric downtown area known as Mizner Park.
