"The intricate carvings in all the accent pieces of wood throughout the house pop out wherever you are standing; it’s overwhelming thinking about how long it must have taken to perform such a task," said Mr. MacLaughlin.

Aside from the large hotel-sized pool and fitness room, the property includes a water feature that spans the entire front walkway as you enter, a home theater, a separate pool house, and "an unbelievable outdoor theater with a screen that rises out of the pool deck. This feature I have never seen in any home here on Maui," said Mr. MacLaughlin. Additionally, there’s a large entertaining venue with a 4,000-square-foot deck.
