Listing of the Day
Location: Los Angeles, California
Price: $4.288 million
This seventh-floor penthouse is one of 56 apartments at The Liddel, a new building on Los Angeles’s Westside.
Located on the Wilshire Corridor, also known as The Golden Mile, The Liddel is at the heart of a two-mile stretch of luxury condominium buildings that run from Westwood Village to the west side of the Los Angeles Country Club, adjacent to Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills and Bel Air.
“The property is just launching now,” said Don Heller of The Agency, which is handling sales. They’ve sold 20% of units.
Final construction on the Wilshire Boulevard development is wrapping up now, he said. “The units are not fully punched out with everything, but they are effectively finished.” This apartment is “100% move-in ready,” he said.
For now, the fully decorated penthouse is being used as a model unit, to show prospective buyers the building and interior designer Jamie Bush’s work. (The furnishings are not included, but could be available for a separate price.)
The apartment has a dramatic two-story entry with a skylight. “The unit floods with light upon entry,” Mr. Heller said. “And then once you enter the living space, there is a 14-foot window. It’s done with panes so that it looks like a series of photographs on the wall.”
“The views are very serene, with a lot of blue sky and mountains,” he said.
The kitchen has custom European cabinetry and a suite of Miele appliances, including a wine refrigerator, double oven and 36-inch gas cooktop.
The master bedroom has the same 14-foot paned window as the living room, a separate sitting area and a large walk-in closet.
The large master bath has an oversized walk-in shower, a large soaking tub and a custom Italian vanity. The terrazzo floors are heated.
Ceiling heights in the apartment range from nine-and-a-half to 14 feet, and the floors throughout are wide-plank white oak.
The 2,704-square-foot penthouse has three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one partial bathroom.
Amenities at The Liddel include an entry salon connected to a spacious outdoor terrace; club lounge with fireplace, bar and sliding glass door linked to a garden space; a wine room, which can be used for private tastings and events as well as for wine storage; a den; fitness studio; and full-time valet and concierge services. Atop The Liddel, residents can enjoy a rooftop terrace with fireplace, lounge areas and barbecues.
The seventh-floor penthouses all have private 400-square-foot rooftop terraces with a barbecue and outdoor furnishings.
L.A.’s Westside, with its acclaimed dining and shopping as well as culture and entertainment, is a short walk or ride away.
“It’s incredibly convenient,” Mr. Heller said. “You go out the drive and you’re less than five minutes from Beverly Hills.”
Plus, “you’re less than seven miles from the airport, six miles from the ocean and two miles from Brentwood,” he added.
