Price: €9 million (US$10.6 million)
Skiers and snowboarders heading back to this new-build chalet after a long day on the slopes are in for a treat. This contemporary seven-bedroom house is kitted out with facilities designed to relax and pamper—it has a heated indoor pool, hammam, sauna, hot tub and treatment rooms.
Built by its owners two years ago, the interior of this two-story house extends 600 square meters, making it one of largest in Val d’Isere, according to Julian Walker, of specialist ski home website skiingproperty.com, the company marketing the home.
The property’s ground-floor living spaces are open plan, with a pitched roof supported by exposed steel beams. A central atrium space connecting the property’s two floors contains an indoor garden, and it has open views of the Alps.

The chalet is in the heart of things, being only 300 meters from town and about a 15-minute walk from the nearest ski lift, which transports skiers to the slopes of the Espace Killy ski area in the Tarentaise Valley, which has 300 kilometers of pistes or ski runs.
Its size, location and extensive facilities make this home a sought-after property, and it is estimated that it could rent for up to €70,000 (US$83,000) per week, according to Mr. Walker.
Stats
This 6,500-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and seven en-suite bathrooms.
The house’s ground floor features the reception hall, a master bedroom and open-plan living spaces with exposed steel and wooden beams.
The lower-ground floor has the additional six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, the pool with multi-colored mood lighting and wellness facilities.

Amenities
The lower ground floor features a four-and-a-half-meter high room that has been built into the rock face, which can be used as an indoor climbing room, or alternatively a shooting range or archery room. There is also a fully-equipped gym on this floor.
A private elevator by the entrance provides access to the property’s garages located underneath the house.
The dining area includes the "Espace drinks bar" with seating, which has been named after the surrounding ski area.
Neighborhood notes
Val d’Isere is undergoing a €200 million (US$237 million) building program that will revitalize the resort’s village center. Known as Le Coin de Val, the development will include traditional Savoyard- style buildings, housing apartments, hotels and shops, as well as a new piste, which will transport skiers and snowboarders back to the resort.
