The home, dubbed Woods House, is on the bank of the River Dart and hidden by dense, tree-lined streets.

The property, listed late last month, is located in Stoke Gabriel, a village in Devon's South Hams District, which is one of the region’s most sought after areas. According to the listing, "the village offers a wonderful array of activities and clubs, primary school, post office, general store, two pubs and a beautiful 13th century church."

With a half-mile of water frontage and tens of acres of rolling pasture, the property’s exceptional nature beauty is rare.

"The Dart estuary is one of the prettiest in Europe," said Sarah-Jane Bingham-Chick, the head of residential for Savills Exeter, the brokerage selling the property.

Woods House features 6,298 square feet of livable space. Below the front terrace of the building are undulating lawns that open out to a ha-ha, a below ground level natural boundary of the greenery which maintains panoramic views without interruption.

The estate also has a Victorian greenhouse with its own helipad, a ship deck on the edge of the river, and a three-bedroom guest cottage. The most charming feature of the home, according to Ms. Bingham-Chick, is its walkable distance to the "buzzy" village of Stoke Gabriel, an exciting enclave in Devon.

The previous owner of the house, Charles Caudle, died in 2016 and his estate is selling the home.
