Still looking for a summer rental in the Hamptons? Luckily, according to local brokers, this year’s late and chilly spring has delayed many rental decisions, so you can still rent your dream house for a luxurious Hampton summer.

The summer season-which traditionally stretches from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day-is the peak for Hampton rentals. The most desirable high-end summer rentals are normally booked in the first quarter of the year, according to HomeAway, a vacation rental platform.

But May is still a good time to find your Hamptons summer homes. And in general, higher end properties don’t rent as quickly or early as others.

That said, data from HomeAway shows 70% of their high-end rentals in the Hamptons have already been booked for the summer season. "I won’t say plenty, but there are some choices left," she said.
