A Bel Air mansion real estate developer Mohamed Hadid built a decade ago is back on the market—again—with a $13 million haircut, and is now selling for $72 million.

Mr. Hadid, the father of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, built the more- than-35,000-square-foot stone-clad behemoth in 2007 and sold the home for $50 million in 2010. The current owner is a limited liability company linked to Sarp Turanligil, a Turkish yacht magnate, according to public legal documents.

Mr. Turanligil did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Before selling to the Turkish businessman, Mr. Hadid filled the lavish estate, which he named Le Belvédère, with luxury amenities, including a 60-seat screening room and a private master suite with a walk-in closet with space for 1,000 pairs of shoes, according to a former listing. The home is newly listed withRick Hilton, Branden Williams, Jesse Lally, and Michelle Saniei of Hilton & Hyland.

The home is on 2.2 acres of land.

Mr. Hadid employed 1,000 workers, including 100 master craftsmen, according to the previous listing. "Craftsmen from Morocco, Mexico, Italy, China and Russia were commissioned to sculpt, cast, and hand finish embellishments for the walls, windows, ceilings and staircases,"the listing read.

That includes a traditional hammam with floor-to-ceiling iridescent Moroccan tiles and Turkish lamps and a so-called Moroccan room, with vibrant upholstery and carved Arabic inscription running around the ceiling.

The home sits on a 2.2-acre plot surrounded by a Jerusalem stone wall. The landscaped grounds include a swan pond, pool and garden, as well as secure parking for up to 20 cars.

The price cut this week is history repeating itself. The current owners first listed the home in 2016 for $85 million before relisting it this week for $72 million, according to listing records. When Mr. Hadid still owned the home, he also tried to sell the mansion for $85 million and had to chop the price down to $72 million before eventually selling for $50 million, records show.
